In the presence of the FIA President MR. Jean Todt, the 5 th round of the CIK-FIA European Championship has begun in Alaharma (FIN). It is the penultimate event for the OK and OK Junior and the last one for the Academy Trophy.

Free practice was the opening event of a weekend which might be crucial in the race towards the CIK-FIA European titles for the OK and OKJ categories. The drivers are eager to take part in the Qualifying Practices and then in the Heats, which are part of tomorrow’s programme. They were observed by the FIA President Mr. Jean Todt, who came to the Powerpark Circuit in Alaharma, Finland, to visit the penultimate event of the CIK-FIA European Championship.

The CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy, on the other hand, is at its last and decisive race: the one-make event on karts Exprit-Vortex-Bridgestone is at its third and final appointment: all is ready to award the winner of the 2017 edition.

So, there is a lot at stake in Finland for the international karting: the 168 drivers who arrived in Alaharma from all around the world are all ready to do their best to achieve a top result during this Finnish weekend. There are growing expectations about the name of the winners in Finland: tomorrow morning, after the Qualifying practice, we might have some more indications.
