Fernando Alonso came to Lonato, yesterday afternoon, to drive his kart and have a bit of fun, after the F1 World Championship. Fernando drove chassis bearing his name: Marco Genis’s Spanish team  FA Kart. F1 2006 World Champion had the satisfaction of driving the Vortex powered KF1 and KZ1 and proved that he was just as fast in karts. Although the track was very slippery in some tracts, Alfonso stopped 42”7. for anyone who would like to have the satisfaction of doing what the champion did, Alonso will be in Lonato today too and who knows, he might be able to do even better. Maurizio Voltini, in Lonato for a test on Beggio’s Spirit, took the opportunity of having a few words with the Spanish champion, but this you can read about on the next issue of Vroom, which you can find on sale early February.
