ADAC and Ralf Schumacher jointly promote young motorsports.
Cost-effective, simple and manageable: this is the new ADAC Kart Academy. With the new generation, ADAC expands its concept to an uncomplicated start into a motor sport career from 2017 on to kartsport. The ADAC is launching its latest project for the promotion of young drivers in the motor sport together with the former Formula 1 and DTM driver Ralf Schumacher. In the ADAC Kart Academy young young talents between 12 and 14 years old compete against each other on identical karts. In the premier season of the ADAC Kart Academy there are five events within the ADAC Kart Masters, the German Kart Championship (DKM) World Cup run in Wackersdorf.
"Through our Academy concept, we enable young talents to have easy and uncomplicated access to the motorsport, I am delighted that we are now extending this idea to kart racing with the new ADAC Kart Academy," says ADAC Sportpräsident Herrmann Tomczyk. "The ADAC Kart Academy allows the participants from the ADAC Kart regional series to leap into a higher class, with the emphasis on talent and not the financial aspect."
"We are very pleased to have won a partnership with Ralf Schumacher for the ADAC Kart Academy, which is committed to the sport of motor sport, and I am sure the ADAC Kart Academy will benefit from its extensive experience" says Thomas Voss, ADAC Head of Motorsport and Klassik.
