Pedro Hiltbrand wins the CIK-FIA International KZ2 Super Cup over Fabian Federer and Benjamin Törnqvist, all on CRG’s chassis.
Felice Tiene (CRG-TM) has a great start leading the race over Tommaso Mosca (Maranello-TM) and his teammate Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG-Maxter), followed by Matteo Viganò (Top Kart-Parilla) and Fabian Federer (CRG-Modena Engines) who are fighting for the fourth place.
Mosca tails Tiene until the fifth lap, when Maranello driver overtakes the leader. Pedro Hiltbrand is once again in the right position in the right moment, and he overtakes Tiene too, but the two CRG drivers have a side-by-side contact and the Italian goes out of the track, falling to 7th position.
After this maneuver, Tommaso Mosca leads the race over Hiltbrand and Viganò, but the latter loses the third podium place in favour of Federer on lap eight.
The crucial moment happens on the following lap: on lap nine Tommaso Mosca has a problem with his Maranello-TM and he retires. Pedro Hiltbrand finds himself in first position, and since that moment his leadership it’s untouchable. Behind his shoulders Matteo Viganò loses position, finishing in fifth place while Felice Tiene tries to gain positions but he finishes immediately out of the podium behind local driver Benjamin Törnqvist (CRG-TM), who gets the better of the several fights during the race.
