DKM and European Championships in Genk

This weekend the DKM round will be run in Genk. A competition preceding of two weeks the dispute, on the same circuit, of the last CIK European Championship’s round reserved for KZ, KZ2, OK and OKJ categories. For all of our drivers, the Genk European race will be the final one, the round that will award the title of champion of the category, so our desire to perform well is very strong in all people of the Racing Team.


KZ2. The category with the gear will catalyse all the attention, since, as already stated above, the Belgian race will be an important test bench for chassis and a moment of comparison for teams and drivers, before the final appointment of the European Championship (July 28 to 31). Marco Ardigò is back from a win and a second place in the last DKM race at Ampfing and he is the leader of the European Championship. Marcus Armstrong is working with his usual dedication at the side of the Racing Team’s technical staff and is taking advantage of the experience gained race after race, in a such demanding category as is the KZ. Marcus in both DKM appointments has collected points and is currently eighth in the overall standings. Given the strategic connotation of the Genk race, also drivers that will compete in the race of the European Championship for KZ2 class will be engaged in this race, they are Corberi Luca and Alessio Piccini. In the run to the KZ2 European title Luca Corberi is fourth with a victory gained on the International circuit of Essay (France).

OKJ. Charles Milesi is firmly leading the DKM ranking (115 points) thanks to three victories and a second place obtained in four races so far attended. Milesi aims to maintain his performance always at the highest level. Leonardo Marseglia has collected points and made valuable experience and now takes an excellent tenth place in the standings, making him the best among the drivers engaged in their first season in the Junior category. Scrolling down the list many are the drivers and teams employing Tony Kart-Vortex material, among them stands the name of David Vidales, who competes in the DKM with the colours of the KSM Racing Team. Vidales has already climbed the podium twice and is currently in fourth place.

OK. Jean Baptiste Simmenauer and Clément Novalak have achieved top performance, particularly Simmenauer who won in Ampfing and got twice the third place, which results take him to the third place also in the provisional standings. Novalak did not attend the race in Ampfing, while in Wackesrdorf he got on the second step of the podium. In Genk our driver Guido Moggia will make his debut in OK category. The young Argentinian driver has been competing in OKJ class, and now with great enthusiasm and determination he is moving to the new category, aware to have good chances to perform well.
