Qualification races are gone: Marta Garcia Lopez grabs the pole in OK and Kenneally in OK Junior
In Portimao is on stage the third round of the European OK and OK Junior championships. This event is really important to understand the eligible drivers for the final title after the last event in Genk, Belgium.
OK - Marta Garcia Lopez (Evokart/Parilla) sweeps the competition: she sets the fastest time in each session, grabbing the pole and two wins during qualification heats. The Spanish lady is back on top spot after the unlucky weekend in Adria. Portimao greets also another comeback: second place for Ben Hanley (CrocPromotion/Tm), who is finally back in perfect shape, after missing the round in Adria because of a broken rip. Third place for Adria winner Pedro Hiltbrand (Crg/Parilla) who gets the better of Karol Basx (Kosmic/Vortex) and Tom Joyner (Zanardi /Parilla). Eyes on Lorenzo Travisanutto (Tony Kart/Vortex) who starts from 7th position on grid.
Here are the results.
OK Junior- Finlay Kenneally (FA Kart/ Vortex) is the man to beat in OK Junior: after the pole position in qualifying, he wins 3 out of 4 manches raced starting the prefinal in first. Kenneally's teammate Oscar Piastri (FA Kart/ Vortex) is second ahead the outsider Henrion Gillian (Kosmic/Vortex).
