KZ2 2” faster than KZ at Le Mans

- Races
As already highlighted during the season, KZ2 - the cadet gearbox class - is faster than the premier KZ class also in Le Mans, where the KZ World Championship and International Super Cup for KZ2 is being held.

It is mainly due to the higher performance of LeCont tires compared to Bridgestones. Everyone would agree on the fact that for the image of international karting, which should promote the most exciting category, KZ, the one that sees the best drivers in the world fighting it out, is not good news. And we cannot stop remarking this paradox...
For the record the two fastest in morning free practice were Bas Lammers on Sodikart / Tm (52"343) and Jonathan Thonon (52" 393) on Praga / Iame in KZ, while Antonio Piccioni (51 "342) on Righetti / Modena Engines and Luke Corberi (51 "460) on Tony Kart / Vortex proved fastest in KZ2.
