Subscriptions to the 26th Andrea Margutti Trophy to open on February 10

The organization stage of the next Andrea Margutti trophy is underway, as edition 26 of the trophy is scheduled from 27 to 29 March 2015 at the South Garda Karting of Lonato del Garda (I). The race will be open to categories KZ2, KF, KF Junior and 60 Mini. Organizer Parma Karting, that has been taking care of this international event since 1992, reminds   everyone that entry lists will open on the 10th of February 2015.

  

Subscriptions to the 26th Andrea Margutti Trophy will have to be submitted following the procedure available at the website www.trofeomargutti.com. The entry form will have to be sent by email to entryform@trofeomargutti.com.

ANDREA MARGUTTI TROPHY. The Andrea Margutti Trophy still is a milestone in international karting, a prize that is sought after by youngsters but also by top drivers that will have the objective to score a good result in this world class event and to add their name to the very rich all of fame of the race.

The history of the Andrea Margutti Trophy started back in 1990 by the will of Margutti family and of the loads of friends of the young driver Andrea Margutti that had passed away the previous year due to an unlucky karting incident. At the time, Andrea was a promising 15 years old who already moved his first steps of a brilliant international karting career, scoring a crescendo of results until his last race in the Junior World Championship in Zaragozza. The Trophy had a lot of success among teams and drivers from all over the world since the beginning. Among the friends of Andrea Margutti pushing to create the trophy we can cite the families Piccolo and Grieco, Giancarlo Fisichella, Jarno Trulli, Danilo Rossi, Andrea Belicchi, and then Belletti, Palmieri, Orsini, Vernieri and several others that still support it nowadays with their affection.

The organization is made by Parma Karting and by Pellegrini family since 1992, while the race moved – with unchanged success – to the South Garda Karting of Lonato del Garda in 2012. The hall of fame of the Andrea Margutti Trophy contains some of the most significant and important drivers in the history of karting. Giancarlo Fisichella was the first to leave his mark back in 1990, together with Andrea Belicchi as the two respectively claimed the victory in category ICA and Formula A. Fisichella won it again in 1991 (FA), 1992 (ICA) and 1994 (FA). Among the many names of international karting winning the Andrea Margutti Trophy, Sophie Kumpen (Max Verstappen's mum won it in 1995 in FA) and some other youngsters that continued their career becoming motor-racing champions like Robert Kubica (Junior, 1999), Tony Vilander (FA, 2000), Edoardo Mortara (FA, 2005), Daniil Kvyat (KF3, 2009) and Brandon Maisano (KF2, 2009).
