Parma – Italy – 9th February 2010. Entries for the “21st Andrea Margutti Trophy” have immediately started to arrive in great number. The trophy is a classical appointment of international karting; it will take place next 21st March on the 7 Laghi Circuit at Castelletto di Branduzzo (Pavia – Italy). In particular, the entries for the junior categories KF3 and KF2 have been so many that the organization has quickly changed the maximum number of entrants from 51 to 68 for the two categories. There is a good number of entrants for the KZ2, the category with gear shift, and the junior category 60 Mini.
Many top teams have already joined the competition. Besides the new team Formula K, managed by Andrea Bertolini, FIA GT World Champion for three times and testimonial for this Trophy edition, Chiesa Corse, Comer, Baby Race, Birel Motorsport, Intrepid, Tony Kart Junior Team, MGM Racing, DR, BRM, have already confirmed their participation together with many foreign teams such as PDB, JTL, Solgat, Maddox, Ward Racing, KSB.
Among the drivers, the participation of the Dutch driver Nyck De Vries (Zanardi) stands out; this year he will take part also in the Super KF official programme, after dominating the last seasons in KF3. Other promising drivers such as Raffaele Marciello (Formula K), Matteo ViganÄ (Birel), Gianmarco Ercoli (Tony Kart) and Federico Savona (Formula K): all these drivers are taking part in the CSAI programme and the Ferrari Drivers Academy, recently instituted to follow and make young talented drivers grow up in their profession.
