Ahmed hammering for the double

- Races
The sunny day at Essay was as unexpected as the tamed tyre-wear inconsistent. In the French heat, the World Karting Championship for KFJ saw freshly crowned European Champion Enaam Ahmed rule the heat session, winning all five of his heats to start Sunday’s prefinal 1 from pole.

Next best, Germany’s Mick Junior with four heat wins to start prefinal 2 from pole. Quite astonishingly, the top-3 in Ahmed’s heats were always completed by Bollier and Fewtrell, the two switching places in the last two heats joining the front row in the two prefinals. Very consistent heat session for Milell, Lorandi, Roes Andersen and Artem Petrov to start the prefinals from row 2, the latter with and Paavo Tonteri winning two heat wins each.
