The young driver from Heilbronn left the Nuerburgring round with an even bigger lead in the overall standings.
"During the F3 summer break, I have been racing a lot in the AutoGP series,“ said Pommer. „Thus, I haven’t put any rust on but am much rather in full flight mode.“
Team-mate Nabil Jeffri came home second in each of the first two heats and signed the weekend off with third spot in the rain-ridden third heat. „I savioured precious points and widened my lead over Indy Dontje, which currently is the most important for me,“, says the Malaysian. „It is extremely hard to challenge fort he title, as Markus Pommer is driving impressively these days.“
Dontje was one of many who caught a drive-through penalty in race one. He tried to claw places back but his charge ended in a crash with team-mate Mendez, who in turn picked up a drive-trough in heat two. Dontje, meanwhile, finished fourth in the weekend’s both remaining races.
