Britain's Lando Norris (KF) and USA driver Devlin De Francesco (KFJ) made an impressive display of their skill at the opening round of the European KF-KFJ Championships in La Conca.
In KF, Norris first took pole position in qualifying then he went on to win four straight heats, with fellow countryman Callum Ilott joining him on front row for the prefinal with three heat wins and a 2nd place (after stopping 3rd fastest lap in qualifying).
Row 2 went to Spaniard Pedro Hiltbrand racing on Crg, and to Denmark's Nicklas Nielsen strong of a win, two 2nd places and a 7th. Looking also very strong, Italian duo Alessio Lorandi and Felice Tiene will start from row 3, while row 4 will see Poland's Karol Basz and India's Jehan Daruvala fighting for the top, the latter having also won one heat.
In KFJ, a very consistent drive by Devlin De Francesco from the USA - pole in qualifying, three heat wins and a 2nd place - projected him on the front row for the prefinal, sided by German Tony Kart driver Mick Junior, who also grabbed two wins and two 2nd places in the heats. Surprising row 2 with Venezuelan Seb Fernandez and Spaniard Eliseo Martinez, while top KFJ driver of the first part of the season Enaam Ahmed made up for a bad heat with three consistent results to start from row 3 sided by Sweden's Anton Haaga.
Max Fewtrell (UK), Juan Correa (USA), David Beckmann (Germany) and Logan Sargeant (USA) also took one heat win but will start from mid grid following one bad heat result.
