Felice Tiene, KF (Cunaphoto.it)
CRG works team will head to La Conca for the start of CIK-FIA 2014 season as the reigning European KF Champion, strong with the title won in 2013 with Max Verstappen. CRG will field Tiene, Hiltbrand, Marcu and Gomez in KF, while Baiz, Martinez, Konstantinos and Tillett will be competing in KF Junior. The European 2014 Championship will comprise 5 rounds.
The weekend of 11 May 2014 will open the season of CIK-FIA International Championships. The first round is scheduled at Muro Leccese as the protagonists of the European KF & KF Junior will get on track at the International Circuit La Conca, the same venue where the WSK Super Master Series ended at the end of April with a very good result for CRG works team mainly with Felice Tiene, second in the KF Final.
CRG DRIVERS IN LA CONCA
CRG will head to La Conca with very good chances both in KF and KF Junior. The works team will line up, alongside Felice Tiene, the Spaniard Pedro Hiltbrand, the Romanian driver Dionisios Marcu and the Venezuelan Sidney Gomez in KF. In KF Junior the new entry Mauricio Baiz, the Spanish driver Eliseo Martinez, the Greek “Konstantinos” and the Briton Archie Tillett will weave high the CRG's flag instead.
CRG KF TITLE HOLDER
The new title campaign will be an interesting challenge also from the technical side as CRG will try to confirm the quality of its chassis that last year won the European KF Championship with Max Verstappen. CRG will be using TM engines prepared by KF 2013 title winner GFR and by Galiffa both in KF and KF Junior.
THE 5 ROUNDS
The European KF and KF Junior Championships will be battled out in five rounds this year. Following La Conca opener, the second round will take place on June 1st for both categories in Zuera (Spain). On June 15 KF will be on track at Genk in Belgium, while KF Junior will resume from Sweden in Kristianstad on July 27. The two categories will get together again for the fourth round scheduled for 31 August in England at the Circuit PF International of Brandon, while the fifth and final round of both title campaigns will be held in Essay (France) next 21 September.
A RICH SHOWCASE FOR CRG
CRG is strong with a particularly rich list of European KF and KF Junior Championships won, starting from last year's one secured by Max Verstappen in KF. In the previous years category names were different but technically equivalent to nowadays' and CRG secured the KF title with Nolè (2006), Bocchi (2003), Thonon (2002), Hamilton (2000), Pocelet and Campanico (1998), Pantano (1996 and 1995), Beggio (1992), Zanardi and Schumacher (1987) and Muller (1996). In Junior CRG won the European titles with Buemi (2002), Surrales (1991) and Malandrucco (1989).
