Over the past few days you have followed many of the leading manufacturers taking the opportunity of the first important race of the season to test new equipment, new technical solutions and new drivers.
Starting with Crg, without Max Verstappen who moved up Formula, the team from Desenzano will try to defend all the titles won in 2013 with Jordon Lennox-Lamb, also active in the American and Brazilian competitions. Besides Lennox, at the Winter Cup Crg will field also Federer and Foré (supported by the Polish team DTK ) in KZ, as well as other drivers including Felice Tiene in KF and Tillett in KFJ .
Tony Kart will field Marco Ardigò, Flavio Camponeschi and Andreas Hansen in KZ, while Karol Basz, Gabriel Aubry and Nikita Mazepin will battle KF, with Betsch and the latest addition to the team James Pull in KFJ.
We have also seen the ART Grand Prix team, very active with its kart and formula programs, where next to Ben Hanley and Mirco Torsellini, Vladislav Kurakin will attempt to win the first event in KZ. In the other categories ART continues the selection of up and coming drivers, among them the 2013 Italian KF champion Julien Darras who was spotted testing with the red and white colours, but it is still uncertain where the French will land a seat in the 2014 season.
Other teams such as Ricky Flynn Motorsport, BabyRace, Ward Racing, Energy, GP Racing have certainly sharpened their weapons with intensive on track work in any weather condition.
Pounding is the right term to define the track sessions of former World Cup winner Bas Lammers, who after signing for Formula K until 2015, has traveled many miles to get a feeling of his new equipment and to be competitive for the first race.
But not only drivers who will take part in the Winter Cup were on the track to remove the winter dust, because many drivers who entered in the Italian championship and the various trophies around Italy were also present.
So much the excitement and anticipation of the forthcoming season that Lonato is the centre of international karting at this time of year, and Vroom will certainly provide a daily update through the website and Facebook page.
So stay tuned and a good start of the season to all kart drivers.
