The Brazilian driver trained running a Rok Shifter and won and at the end of the competition, said :“Since many years now, whenever I am not running F1 I like training with the kart and particularly with KZ. I have to say that the Rok Shifter runs you strongly and I did not see any difference, in terms of performance, from the KZ, so it really impressed me a lot. I enjoyed a lot running the Rok Shifter category and I will for sure do it again with such a new and funning category.”
The vice F1 and F. Indy driver is today engaged in the popular Brazilian Stock Car category at the drive of a shiloutte Chevrolet and as he previously said, he constantly trains at the driver of a kart with the gearbox. In the winter 2012 Rubens ran already with the Tony Kart-Vortex in the category with the gear, on the occasion of the Florida Winter Tour, showing off a very good performance and proving that you cannot buy class.
In the Rok day 1 another Barrichello was at the track, Pietro, Rubens’ son. He is learning the ropes in the Mini Rok category and who knows? Will he enter the fray of the Rok International Final?
