The second and final round of the European KF-KF Junior Championship takes place this weekend at the Circuito Internazionale d’Abruzzo in Ortona, Italy.
The best international drivers are ready to take on the track in Ortona, despite some drop outs of the last minute.
In KF, all eyes will on Dane Nicklas Nielsen (Kosmic/Vortex) and his compatriot Christian Sorensen (Tony Kart/Vortex) who sit in 1st and 2nd place on the championship standings. Also the Ducth Crg driver Max Verstappen is in contention, seen the very tight standings resulting from the Final as sole source of points.
In KF Junior, Brit Lando Norris (FA Kart/Vortex) leads the standings over Belgian Matteo Raspatelli (Tony Kart/Parilla) and Dutch Martijn van Leeuwen (Zanardi/Tm).
Next to the European Championship, the drivers of the Academy Trophy will join in the show for the 2nd round.
Official qualifying and first few heats will be held today, while on Saturday the heat session will be concluded deciding those who will access Sunday’s final phase.
