THE 2013 WSK MASTER SERIES CAME TO A CLOSE AT THE 7 LAGHI TRACK IN CASTELLETTO DI BRANDUZZO, ITALY. PRAGA KART RACING IS A STEP FROM THE PODIUM IN KZ2 AND MAKES THE CHAMPIONSHIP TOP 10
The decisive round of the 2013 WSK
Master Series took place at Castelletto
di Branduzzo (Pavia, Italy) at the Pista
7 Laghi. Praga Kart Racing is on track in each
category with a total of 6 drivers. In KZ2
Alessandro Manetti, Technical Manager for
the team, is a top-end protagonist: 4th in the
qualifyings and both finals; if it weren’t for the
two penalties received in the heats, he’d be on
the podium. Praga Kart and Manetti close the
championship in the Top 10 anyways (9th). Also
in KZ2, Radim Maxa is another front runner until
Sunday afternoon: 9th best on the stop watch,
6th in final 1, and 7th at the start of final 2, then
sadly a contact sends him out halfway through
the race. Too bad, he had what it takes to close
on top.
Praga Kart is among the best also in the 60
Mini with new entry Rasmus Lindh, author of a
spectacular climb: 40th after the qualifyings, he
goes wild in the heats (twice 7th and 8th) and
places 13th overall; then in the pre-final a contact
makes him start all over from the rear (24th),
but in the final he does a grand recovery and
closes 12th. A truly outstanding debut. Praga
is also on track in the KF with Karol Dabski.
He does well, but is unlucky: 9th in his timed
practice and 10th in Superpole, but 17th after the
heats only due to a missed start: an excellent
first race (6th) and a climb up 9 spots in the last;
in the pre-final he continues his ascent and is
8th; unfortunately, in the final he is victim of a
contact (again 17th). Finally, defending Praga’s
flag in the crowded KF-J there are Marino Sato
and Dante Zachary: good job at rebounding by
the Japanese, 32nd after timed practice and
19th in the final; bad luck for the American who,
after struggling in the qualifying phase, is out
for contact in the pre-final. The two still need to
grow, but they’ve acquired crucial international
experience with the high-performance karts of
the Praga team.
