Heated start in Wackersdorf

- Races
The first round of the European KZ-KZ2 Championship opened up on Friday with the official qualifying practice for both categories. But in KZ2 the penalties for exceeding noise limit shuffled up the field just like it happened in Sarno last season on occasion of the World Cup.

In KZ, three Crg drivers stopped the top three fastest laps of the class with Dutch Jorrit Pex and Max Verstappen joined by former World Champion Davide Foré. The current European Champion was the only one to lap below the 47”9.
Marco Ardigò stopped the fourt fastest slightly over than 1 tenth from pole, and the young ART Grand Prix driver Charles Leclerc completed the top five.

In KZ2, the Italian DR Racing team driver Riccardo Negro was the fastest of the lot with 48”633, with Alessandro Manetti back in international racing accredited of the second fastest lap. Norwegian Emil Antonsen was third fastest, with two more Italians Zanchetta and Brenna completing the top five.
But the field was shuffled as a result of the many penalties (18 drivers received 3 or 6 places penalty) inflicted for exceeding noise limit.
