Karting boys (and girls!) moving up the ladder

- News and Previews
It’s no secret that the dream of most of kart drivers is to move up the motorsports ladder aiming at Formula 1. Well, no all of them make it to F1, actually quite few, but good part of yesterday’s karting boys and girls have recently hit the headlines for their progress in motorsport.

The most recent news is about former lady kart driver Beitske Visser being chosen by Red Bull to join their Junior team. At last, she has managed to make an impact on the top managers in motorsport, after having won a European KZ2 Championship final back in 2010 (very few girl drivers managed a similar result) and finished 2nd in the WSK Euro Series in the same year. Only one season in single-seaters – ADAC Formula Masters – and 2 wins were enough to convince people at Red Bull of her skills.
Besides the fast Dutch driver, three more former kart drivers from Northern Europe – Michelle Gatting, Nicolaj Moller Madsen and Kasper Jensen – made it to the professional motorsport ranks, and they have been selected for the 2013 Danish VW Scirocco Cup.

But the list could go on and on... so best of luck to all of them!
