Heats, a hint for the finals?

24th Trofeo Andrea Margutti
After Friday’s incessant rain, bad weather conditions took a break on Saturday until late afternoon when only the last heat of each class had to be disputed. Light showers spiced up things a bit making the result slightly more uncertain, but not enough to stop the fastest drivers - though racing on slick tyres - from gaining the top position on starting grid.

And so Boccolacci (Energy/Tm) grabbed the KF front row start following two heat wins, ahead of Martin Kodric and Ollie Norris both on FA/Vortex. Positive heat session also for Italy’s Marco Moretti (Kosmic/Tm), while his brother Andrea had to retire in the last heat due to an engine problem dropping in the general order.
In KZ2, all eyes will be on Kristijan Habulin (Crg/Modena-Engines) and Alessandro Giulietti (Intrepid/Tm) starting from the front row. The Croatian driver met all expectations, while Giulietti had to overcome the opposition of very fast drivers such as Paolo Bonetti, Giacomo Pollini and Simas Juodvirsis to grab row 1 start.
In KFJ, Brit Lando Norris (FA/Vortex) proved to be yet again the driver to beat. He will have to watch out from his closest rivals, the very fast Russian Sitnikov. Italy’s Tommaso Mosca performed well to keep within range from the top drivers grabbing the second row start. Also, French driver Aubry - with one heat win – despite a not so brilliant heat 2 will have the opportunity to make up already in the prefinal.
In 60 Mini, Martinez won the duel with his direct rival Cicognini, both taking front row start for Sunday’s final stages. The fight between the two will most likely resume tomorrow.
