A much-awaited official confirmation came today from the MSA National Court of Appeal: the Karting Division of ART Grand Prix can celebrate their maiden title in the KF2 class of the CIK-FIA European Championship.
The Championship was won at the PF International Track thanks to Ben Barnicoat, who took first place, and Charles Leclerc, who ended up in second. After the results scored on-track though, an appeal by Max Verstappen needed to be addressed as the British event's charts became sub-judice.
ART Grand Prix is still proud of the great results achieved at its first season in go-kart racing competition. A season highlighted by the 1-2 finish in the most competitive category of the European panorama. It was a massive and prestigious accomplishment, a great reward for the Team's technical staff, led by Armando Filini and a further confirmation of strength for the the ART Grand Prix TS-01 chassis. In such an important moment for ART Grand Prix, a big thank you also go to Ben Barnicoat, the Racing Steps Foundation, all the technical partners including Machac Racing, IAME-Parilla, Starlane, Xeramic Lubricants, Freem and sponsors Aethra, Bayer, OMR and Richard Mille.
