Strong entry for TKM Festival

- Races

More than 160 drivers are entered for the Maxxis TKM Festival at Kimbolton next weekend – once again underlining the popularity of this event, now in its 14th year.

Both Juniors and Seniors feature maximum grids of 68 drivers racing for the main Senior Elite and Festival trophies. A further 18 drivers in the Seniors are racing for the Clubman and Masters titles.

There is also a good grid of TKM 4-stroke Seniors racing, also competing as a round of the Kartmania TKM 4-Stroke Championship.

The event will be featured on Motors TV and will include a disco and barbecue. Prizes include £1000 of TKM vouchers given away through a raffle among all drivers.

TKM boss Alan Turney said: “It is great to see such an excellent turnout for the event again this year and reinforces the fact that the TKM classes are very much alive and indeed growing – bucking the general downward trend of other classes. It is great to see the growth in the Clubman sector racing at the event as a class for the first time.

“Our partnership with Kimbolton  and Maxxis Tyres for this event has always been very strong and proactive, and we are looking forward to another great event.”

The Maxxis TKM Festival takes place on August 11/12 with testing on the 10th for Festival competitors only and set up from the morning of Thursday Aug 9. Full details are available at the TKM or Kimbolton websites – www.tal-ko.com and www.hkrc.co.uk
