Noise limit: a test session at Sarno

As decided by the FIA World Motor Sport Council, noise in Karting will henceforth be limited to 108 dB. Since gearbox karts (KZ1 and KZ2 categories) are those mostly concerned by this new ruling, engine Manufacturers have requested the organisation of test session in order to test their new technical solutions.

It will be held on Wednesday 22 August on the circuit of Sarno, venue of the World Cups for KZ1 and KZ2 on the first weekend of September. On this occasion the CIK-FIA will set up the noise control system it uses at its events.
Engine Manufacturers and Teams wishing to take part in this test day must confirm that they will be present by e-mail to the CIK-FIA Administration (cik@fia.com) prior to 10th august.
