The British Motorsport Association issued a tender for the organisation and promotion of the British Championships for Cadet, Junior and Senior Kart classes for a period of five years starting from 1st January 2013. The MSA also renewed the tender for the organisation of the National championships for one more year to the ABkC.
The MSA communication reads as follows:
"In the tender documents the governing body is seeking interested parties to run and promote the championships for a minimum period of five years from 1 January 2013.
The tender documents are available on the MSA website or via the following links:
MSA British Kart Championship
MSA British Junior Kart Championship
MSA British Cadet Kart Championship
Submissions should be delivered to the MSA by no later than 12.00 noon on 26 July 2012, marked for the attention of Sheila Barter, Executive Office Services Manager."
Also, the MSA issued the following communication regarding the organisation of the National Kart Championships:
"At the recent meeting of Motor Sports Council on 12th June 2012, the revised regulations regarding the restructure of Karting Championships were approved. Subsequently, the MSA would like to confirm that a similar tender process for the organisation and promotion of all other National Kart Championships, originally anticipated to be held this year, has been delayed until 2013. As a result, the Association of British Kart Clubs (ABkC) have agreed to extend their existing contracts and arrangements relating to National Kart Championships for a further year."
