Press Release by:

Year after year, the Dutch team AVG Racing has continued to consolidate its reputation at international level. Victory remains the priority objective for AVG and indeed the hard work made by Anton Van Grunsven’s team in 2011 proved to be successful. And with the same passion, rigour and competence, they are getting ready for the forthcoming season. A privileged partner for the PCR company, AVG will also be able to count on a top level recruit, Arnaud Kozlinski.

World Cup, European Championship, WSK Euro Series... AVG Racing took on quite a few challenges in 2011. «After Manuel Renaudie decided to put an end to his career and left, we formed a very young team, often lacking experience in meetings where the level was particularly high», Anton Van Grunsven stressed. «In KZ, entering a WSK round was like racing in the World Championship. But despite all this, a driver like Dylan Davies managed to emerge on several occasions».

The young Dutch karter kept improving, so much so that he claimed the top step of the podium at La Conca, which allowed him to conclude the WSK Euro Series in 4th place in KZ2. He then had a very encouraging World Cup during which he carved his way up to 11th place. His fellow countryman and team mate Roy Geerts also showed some very interesting potential, in particular in WSK races.
«In KZ1, we supported Tony Lavanant, but he had not raced for a full season since 2008 and his return to competition was more difficult than we had expected. Nevertheless his two participations in the French Championship ended with two podium results». Although he was more accustomed to KF, the Dutch driver Sinan Van der Raad showed constantly growing performances grew, so much so that he entered the World Cup top 20 in the KZ1 class, where there are mostly professional drivers.

In 2012, drivers from AVG Racing team will be able to count on a highly talented team mate, given that the Frenchman Arnaud Kozlinski has decided to defend the colours of PCR and TM within the impressive Dutch structure. «I am very happy to join AVG and I feel more motivated than ever by this new challenge», said the 2009 World Champion. «When I met Anton Van Grunsven I was sure I had made the right decision. I discovered an enthusiast, who is looking forward to leading his team to victory again, as he did in 2007 when they won the European KZ2 Championship. AVG really wants to give itself the means to succeed. Over the last few years, the PCR chassis have always shown top performances, exactly like TM engines, and clearly victory will be our goal. Moreover, PCR will also be able to count on Simo Puhakka, therefore I am also certain that we will have a great racing and testing schedule».

The appointment well be at the Winter Cup at Lonato, in February…
