Italian tyre manufacturer Vega S.p.A. won the tender as as single tyre supplier for all CIK championships in 2012, with the exclusion of the "U18" World Championship and Academy Trophy where tyres will be provided on a free-basis by LeCont.

Within the framework of the invitations to tender conducted by the FIA for Karting matters and on decision of the FIA World Motor Sport Council which met on 7 December 2011 in New Delhi (IND), the following tenderers have been retained:
- Panta for the single-supply of fuel in all the 2012 CIK-FIA Championships held on short circuits (except the Japanese Suzuka event). A second-generation “E10” type fuel (non-food bioethanol) will be supplied to the competitors of the CIK-FIA “U18” World Championship and Karting Academy Trophy;
- Total for the single-supply of fuel in the 2012 and 2013 CIK-FIA European Superkart Championships;
- Vega for the single-supply of tyres in all the 2012 CIK-FIA Championships, Cups and Trophies for KF2, KF3 and KZ2 (except the Asia-Pacific KF2 Championship);
- LeCont for the single-supply of tyres in the CIK-FIA “U18” World Championship and Karting Academy Trophy. In the latter competition (3 events), racing tyres will be delivered on a free basis to all the participants.
The tenders received were accompanied by a financial contribution from the tyre Manufacturers; this contribution will be used by the CIK-FIA to promote the championships concerned and to reward the laureates.
