Ardigò’s winning strategy awards him KF1 World title

KF1 World Championship Final
Marco Ardigò had only one chance against the super fast Arnaud Kozlinski and he took full advantage. The Italian driver overtook the Frenchman right at the first lap without giving him the chance to run away, forcing him to overdo it with his engine early on. On lap 2, Kozlinski is back in front, but at the end of the lap he goes through the homestraight with a ‘silent’ engine.

Catt, who also has a winning package, inherits the lead, with Ardigò behind waiting for the right time to pass. As Jason Parrott starts getting too close, Ardigò overtakes his Tonykart teammate. He pulls away to a safe advantage, which will be useful in the latest stages of the race as Libor Toman (Birel-Parilla) makes up ground in second place. Nikolaj Bollingtoft comes back to fourth ahead of Parrott and Foré, who didn’t have the optimal set-up.

Tony-Vortex success is complete with Flavio Camponeschi, who grabbed the World Cup for KF2 title. The Italian driver dominated during the weekend, winning all but one sessions. His teammate Oliver Rowland ended second ahead of Czech Zdenek Groman.
