The 15th edition of the SKUSA Supernationals that took place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on November 16-20, saw a superb roster of drivers in all categories. Making the headlines, Sodi driver Anthony Abbasse managed to grab the win after getting close to the top step of the Supernats podium several times in the past.

The French driver beat the Tony Kart duo Marco Ardigò-Rick Dreezen, with the Italian following a mere 0”076 at the chequered flag. Thomas Mich and Yannick de Brabander rounded up the top 5.
In the other Pro categories, Mirko Torsellini had the better of Indy Dontje in S1, with locals Daniel Bray, Fritz Leesmann and Joey Wimsett completing the podium. In TaG Senior, Philip Orcic beat Daniel Formal and post heat session poleman Joel Miller.
Some of the top drivers raced in KF2, where Teemu Suninen took a 4” win over de Brabander, with Maranzana, Blom and Olsen completing the podium. 2010 class winner Sami Luka ended just off the podium after starting 5th on the grid.
The event featured one of the highest event purses in its history. This year’s total prize package value has surpassed $120,000 – nearly doubling the amount that was awarded one year ago. The total prize money awarded, including contingency money available, has been a remarkable $44,200. The three ‘Pro’ classes on the schedule – S1, KZ2, and TaG Senior – saw the top-five awarded cold hard cash. The international KZ2 category once again vied for a $20,000 purse, with an incredible $10,000 going to the victor. Both S1 and TaG Senior winners grabbed $2,000 each, as the rest of the top-five split up the balance of the $5,000 class purse.
