The young lady who practically stole the show at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals 2021 in Bahrain when she blitzed the Rotax Senior MAX field, was back on track last week in a new category. As the competition stepped up for the showdown in Spain to kick off the international Rotax season in Europe, the adrenaline was pumping as the racing got even more exciting Sunday! The champions: Jacob Ashcroft (Mini MAX), Kasper Schormans (Junior MAX), Kai Rillaerts (Senior MAX), Patriks Locmelis (DD2) and Martynas Tankevicius convincingly secured their new 2023 titles at the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy Winter Cup over the weekend.

Racing got underway for the weekend at the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy Winter Cup with 22 qualifying heats filling the program Saturday, resulting in 12 different winners. Two drivers achieved a hat trick to lead at the chequered flag each race after taking pole position in their respective Rotax categories: Jacob Ashcroft (Mini MAX) and Tereza Babickova (DD2).
The fast Circuito Internacional de Karting ensures the racing is usually going to be exciting. Of course, the competitors need to remain focused and not get caught out to risk losing positions...

Setting the stage for a competitive weekend of racing, the qualifying sessions lit the timing screens up at the RMCET Winter Cup on Friday afternoon at the Karting International Campillos circuit in Spain. With around 180 drivers on the start grid, the first of the RMC Euro Trophy events for the season officially launches the year off under the Andalusian sun.
