The opening round of the KZ European Championship lived up to expectations, delivering closely fought racing throughout the weekend and confirming an increase in on-track battles following the introduction of the anti-launch system. Several incidents during the heats heavily affected some of the pre-event favourites, reshuffling the order ahead of the finals. CRG dominated the final and secured Malheiro Suñe’s first major victory following an incredible final lap in which Gustafsson took too many risks and was forced out of the race after an accidental collision. In KZ2, Elie Goldstein claimed an important home victory for TBKart during a weekend marked by the strong performance of TM-powered packages.
