No happy ending for Laurens van Hoepen in Kristianstad at the FIA Karting European Championship.
The third act of the FIA Karting European Championship did not bring joy to Laurens van Hoepen.
The Ricky Flynn Team driver proved to be quick during free practice, but a misunderstanding with another driver in the fastest lap of qualifying prevented him from getting a good result.
Having therefore started on an uphill battle, the weekend however seemed to have taken a good turn in the heats where the Dutchman was again fast, hitting the top10 three times. However, two accidents stopped him from qualifying for the final.
Laurens van Hoepen, RFM (FA / Vortex): «It’s a pity not entering the Final. I had good speed but, as you know, when you start behind it's difficult to stay out of trouble. I'm trying my best to get back to the positions I feel I belong in and I hope I can start already from the race in Lonato of the WSK Euro Series.»
Van Hoepen will be back on track in two weeks in Lonato for the third and penultimate act of the WSK Euro Series.
