There is a slight change in the racing calendar of the German Kart Championship. The final in Belgian Genk is now going to take place a week later, from August 24th – 26th 2018. All other dates are unchanged.
The highest German kart racing series already announced its racing calendar for 2018 before this year’s DKM final in Lonato. The participants of the four grade series await events in Germany, Italy and Belgium. The date of the big final in Genk now had to be adjusted though. It’s going to take place a week later, from August 24th – 26th 2018.
“We received requests regarding a date-change and considered this very carefully. Of course a change of dates is not ideal, but we don’t see any big problems in this case. There are no overlaps due to this change, our race is now going to take place two weeks before the shifterkart World Championship in Genk and the vacation month August is also going to be a little less stressful due to this”, explains DKM-series coordinator Stefan Wagner.
All other dates of the DKM weren’t changed. The kick-off is still going to take place from April 13th-15th on the South Garda Circuit in Lonato. After that, the championship is going to continue on German tracks in Wackersdorf, Ampfing and Kerpen. The final decisions are then going to be made in Genk.
From January 2018 on, the participants of the four grade series DKM, DJKM, DSKM and DSKC can enter their applications. All documents needed are going to be made available in time on the website www.kart-dm.de.
