Only 11 days left to enter the MSA Competition for a chance to meet Lewis Hamilton at Monza
There isn't long left just to enter the fantastic MSA Road Safety Film Competition for a chance to meet F1 champion Lewis Hamilton at Monza. In association with Allianz and supported by the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team, the competition helps to promote safer motoring amongst the most at-risk age group on the roads.
“It’s great to be back on-board with the campaign,” said Hamilton. “I had a lot of fun judging the entries and meeting the prize winners last year, and I’m looking forward to seeing what people come up with this time around! It’s a great initiative, and I think it’s important that motor sport engages with the problem of safety on the roads.”
Submissions must be made by midnight on 17 July, and can be submitted via Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #SafeRoadToMonza as well as via email and post. For more information, click here.
Open to everyone aged 16-24 and as part of the FIA Action for Road Safety, entrants are invited to make a short film of under 90 seconds highlighting one of the 10 Golden Rules of Safer Motoring:
- Buckle up
- Respect the Highway Code
- Obey the speed limit
- Check tyre pressures
- Drive sober
- Protect children
- Pay attention
- Stop when tired
- Wear a helmet (on two wheels)
- • Be courteous.
Hamilton himself will judge the entries at the Hungarian Grand Prix and choose two overall winners, with special commendations given to runners up. Entrants are encouraged to be as creative as possible, with special credit given for any references or connections to motor sport.
