November 24, 2011 - In what can be classified as a breakout race for the SODI Kart product line, G-Phactory Kart Racing, and their European counterparts, claimed top honors at the SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals this past weekend. Taking place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada, French driver Anthony Abbasse dominated the KZ2 category to take home the $10,000 prize.

After qualifying on the pole, Abbasse showed his abilities to compete with both North America and Europe's best. Sweeping all three-heat races, Abbasse saved the best for last as he led nearly every lap in Super Sunday's main event. Never turning a wheel wrong all weekend long, Abbasse and his SODIKart ST32BV machine took home the win in what is arguably the world's biggest karting event.

"It was great to score a win at this year's SuperNationals," claimed G-Phactory Team Manager Preston Newberry. "It has been a long time coming for us and SODI Kart. Anthony has been fast at previous events but has run into some bad racing luck along the way. We are all happy to see him get that elusive victory."

Fellow SODI Kart drivers showed their speed throughout the week as well. Competing with the Dallas Karting Complex squad was Mike Jones, who was a consistent front-runner in the S4 division. Looking to follow in Abbasse's footsteps with a win, Jones would look to be able to fight for the top spot until contact bent his rear bumper causing him to lose some speed. Jones was able to hang on to the runner up position and secure the second podium for the SODI/Gphactory squad.

Californian G1 pilot Howie Idelson was in contention for another podium spot after showing the speed to run in the top three. Idelson would endure some bad luck in the three heat races that set the main event starting grid and would be forced to start mid-pack. Racing with unfamiliar drivers, Idelson was also involved in an incident in the final taking away any chances for a win.

S2 pilot Brandon Scheiber and S1 driver Keenan Schmitke showed great speed at this year's SuperNationals but would run into heat race trouble while TaG Junior driver Juan Jimenez improved from his poor qualifying effort to make the final in a talent-filled junior category.

S5 driver Nathan Adds would compete in his first ever shifter race and steadily improved throughout the weekend. Driving like a seasoned veteran through the heat races, Adds was in contention for a solid main event finish. With more seat time and testing Adds will be a threat for a podium at the 2012 SKUSA SuperNationals.

Newberry added, "This was a great weekend for our team and we showed that the SODI chassis were fast in all conditions with multiple engine packages. We are looking forward to debuting our 2012 chassis line-up at the Performance Racing Industry show in December and coming out of the gates strong at the 2012 Gatorz Challenge of Americas in January."
